Who we are

This website, vilotek.com, is operated by Vilotek, a single-member limited liability company (SARLU) registered at 79MD Andriantany, Madagascar (tax ID / NIF: 4 018 517 727). Vilotek acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].

What data we collect

We only collect the data you choose to give us and the minimum technical data needed to run the site securely:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, company name (optional) and the message you write.
  • Technical data: your IP address appears in standard server logs and is used to rate-limit the contact form against abuse.

Why we use it

Contact form data is used for one purpose only: reading your request and replying to it. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

Technical data is used to keep the site secure and available (legitimate interest).

We never sell your data, never use it for advertising and never send newsletters — you will only hear from us in reply to your own message.

Where your data goes

This site has no database: nothing you submit is stored on the web server. When you send the contact form, your message is transmitted by email, through the Gmail service operated by Google, to our mailbox [email protected].

Your message is kept in that mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request and the business relationship that may follow, then deleted. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Third-party services

We keep third parties to a strict minimum. Fonts are self-hosted, so no font provider sees your visits.

  • Google reCAPTCHA v2 protects the contact form against robots. When you use the form, Google may collect device and interaction data and set cookies, as described in the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Analytics may be used to measure anonymous audience statistics (pages viewed, country, device type). This helps us understand how the site is used.
  • Gmail (Google LLC) carries the contact-form email from the site to our mailbox.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies:

  • Session cookies set by the site itself (session and security tokens) — strictly necessary, deleted when your browser session ends.
  • _GRECAPTCHA — set by Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans and robots apart on the contact form.
  • _ga and similar — set by Google Analytics for audience measurement, when analytics is active.

Hosting and international transfers

The site is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC, 105 Edgeview Drive, Suite 425, Broomfield, CO 80021, United States. Because our hosting and email providers operate internationally, your data may be processed outside your country of residence, under the safeguards those providers publish.

Your rights

You may at any time ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] — we answer within a reasonable time and at no cost. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority of your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the site or in the law. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest revision; significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
